While in Bali, we made a few tourist stops to see the amazing wonders of the island. One of the places we visited were the rice terraces in Tagalalang. There are seriously layers upon layers of rice growing as far as the eye can see./home/wpcom/public_html/wp-content/blogs.dir/7f1/35191130/files/2014/12/img_0968.jpg
We learned that while these terraces are more for show, balinese families do tend their own terraces and harvest their own rice, which is a dietary staple. Many families’ rice fields have passed down from generation to generation.
