Now that the holidays are over, I’ve gives the window a bit of an update. I made these polaroid prints a couple years ago, and just keep finding adorable ways to use them! Here’s where they currently reside.
I need to get better at documenting crafts as I do them, so many times I finish and then think “No! I have no photos!” leading to one single photo of a finished product. Maybe that can be my New Year’s resolution. So far I have:
1. Give birth and keep child healthy and alive
2. Better document crafts
Seems like that list is shaping up well! Fitness will enter the game at some point…but I digress. This cinnamon candle is so simple to make, and smells so lovely in your home! All you need is a 4″ cinnamon or vanilla scented pillar candle, cinnamon sticks (I buy them in bulk here), hot glue gun, and some sort of base to put your candle on. Pick out some straight cinnamon sticks and apply the hot glue directly to the sticks (fun fact, hot glue will not stick to a candle if applied directly to the candle. I know…it’s obvious AFTER the fact!). Glue the sticks one by one all the way around the candle until voila! Cinnamon stick candle. You can finish it with some cute twine, or stick it on the base of your choosing. I went with my cake stand covered in mini pinecones.
So one of the fun wedding projects I did was getting Polaroid prints made up and hanging them from this thrifted frame. I ordered the prints from Polaroid Foto Bar, and they turned out really well. Fair warning, they’re more like Polaroid style printed on cardstock, but for my purposes this was perfect.
I scored this old frame from a thrift shop for $2 and screwed small eyelets evenly spaced in the back. All that was left was to string twine across, get some small clothes pins from the craft store, and wa-la. Hanging Polaroids
